I just wanted to promote my tiny community over on slrpnk.net.

Land reclamation (not you, Netherlands) is the restoration of disturbed lands to desirable end land uses (ELUs). Usually these ELUs are associated with pre-disturbance landscape function, and align with the ecosystems that were in place before disturbance. However, this is not always the case, and sometimes something entirely different, yet equally as valuable is chosen, such a green energy project.

To achieve the desired ELUs, innovative methods and carefully planning must be employed. Multiple disciplines, such as: soil science, vegetation ecology, biology, water quality, and geotechnical engineering are drawn upon to reclaim a landscape.
