Pretty much what I feel about it. It’s still to early to tell what exactly this tragedy is, though I’m not surprised that it’s being used by the Kremlin.

I’m not saying they dropped the ball on purpose but they obviously had some knowledge about it. Though authoritarian regimes don’t tend to be good at security either way. They’re good at oppression, but that’s not the same thing.

Of course it does. Not that it was a false flag necessarily, but it was obvious that an attack like this would be used to increase pressure in the war either way IMO.

IIRC FSB claimed to have stopped ISIS terrorists a couple of days earlier (before the public were warned through the US embassy), so maybe they thought there was nothing to it. It does seem like they were warned repeatedly however and that they indeed dismissed those warnings.

Absolutely! It wasn’t my intention to insinuate that you cannot. My point is that she was very quick to come out and demand it be done. Of course terror attacks should be condemned. All I’m saying is that the Kremlin has some weird priorities when there’s an ongoing attack. Almost like they’re trying to control the discussion and steer it towards something else.

Maria Zacharova (Kremlin) seems to think the most important thing right now is that the whole world condemns the attack, which I find to be a kind of weird priority since the thing just happened and we have no fucking clue what is going on.

That’s good. Spend most of my time indoors in noise free environments and in ears/earphones do not work for me for medical reasons.

Just got my first phone without a headphone jack, and it’s thicker than my previous phone that had one. But honestly it’s mildly annoying at most. A dongle works, I guess, but it’s certainly weird and seems like an unnecessary omission.
