Oops, my bad. I meant “it” or “if I wouldn’t be locked into the Meta ecosystem by buying it”. English is hard.

Negative population growth or negative economic growth? Huge difference.
Me, a young man venturing out into the world:
Never saying the wacko stuff championed by Tate and instead just being socially awkward and strangely passionate about FOSS and motorcycles:
Can’t find a girlfriend. Seriously, why is this so hard?
If I wasn’t locked into the Meta ecosystem I’d buy it.
Interesting. I’m college age with a clean record and I have a motorcycle that I’m insuring for $210/year. Granted, it’s a 2006 Suzuki GZ250, not exactly a fast motorcycle, but I’ve looked at the rates for other bikes with my provider and even a new literbike is around $400/year.
Saying something centrist instead of left-wing. I feel like I’m left of center in most places, but right of center here. Stuff like “we should try to just have a well regulated capitalist system instead of going full on socialist, because as bad as capitalism is, socialism has been shown to be worse,” would get me downvoted into oblivion.
It’s more like [2x10, 3x20, 4x20, 5x10, 6x10, 7x5, 8x5, 9x5, 10x5, 12x5, 13, 15, 20, 40, 200]
Theoretically? 100. It only works in specific, uncrowded areas, and then only sometimes.
Practically, as in 80% of scenarios? Anywhere from 10 to as low as 0.03. It’s bad enough that in some places I can’t even load a basic website, as I can’t even crack 1mbps. I also often get the “connected, no Internet” crap.
Don’t forget the squids on motorcycles that don’t have any twisties to ride on, so they are stuck on dangerous stroads
This guy definitely watches TierZoo.
I thought Safari supports some extensions now, including AdBlock Plus.
If the article is about how ads look, could they provide a useful picture?
Thing is, on iOS, at least in the past, Firefox had no uBlock origin support, which pushed Brave’s adblocking capability to the #1 spot.
It was precisely this crap that got me to switch from AdBlock Plus or other “fair” adblockers that let some unintrusive ads through to support the website, to uBlock origin, because it can remove those stupid auto playing videos.
I didn’t like the scorched earth approach of uBO then (and still sometimes now), but any text and/or image based website shoving autoplaying videos down my throat doesn’t deserve any support.
P.S. I’d like an optional way to allow unintrusive ads through in uBlock origin per site while still blocking any trackers that are not useless if the ad didn’t exist.
I’d rather retire at 60 and live to 75 than retire at 70 and live to 100, assuming I’ll have the same amount of money to inherit for the next generation. After the age of 80, I’d be so old that I’d have no energy to do anything.
Even janky JavaScript makes way more sense than English.
