What’s the current consensus, did dinosaurs look more like chickens?
In some smaller bars, they use large coleman type jugs with taps and a stack of paper cups. If you ask for water at the bar, they will point you to the jug.

Yeah it’s weird. Fury Road was gorgeous, but this one looks very CGI-ish.
Oh yeah definitely a challenge if you need take meds in the morning. I do 10am-6pm and sometimes start as late as 12 noon if I ate too late the night before. Can you delay your meds to at least 9:30 maybe? But yeah, I think just cutting out the snacks is already a good thing, and if it works for you, I don’t think you need to strictly follow the 8-hour window if it means affecting your meds.
We usually cook asian food at home, and gochugaru is a staple in Korean dishes. Since it’s basically just red pepper, it works on almost anything. It also adds a bit of flavor (other than spice) that I can’t really describe, but it’s mild enough that it doesn’t ruin the dish you’re making.
Other than MSG - garlic powder, lemon pepper, paprika, and gochugaru. Almost everything I cook has those 4 put in, with only the lemon pepper reduced if citrus is not part of the dish.
It took a bit of time (few weeks) to start losing, but I never gained more weight since starting; so not in my experience. I did notice at the beginning that I was compensating by eating a lot during the 8-hour window, because I was afraid of going hungry. After around a month, I got used to it and just started eating normally. I just make sure I eat my last meal exactly right before I’m supposed to stop, so I don’t go hungry. If I eat too late (i.e. night out with friends, etc.), I just adjust and eat later the next morning. Stopping the late snacking is definitely one of the reasons I think I lost weight.
Do you realize how many talented artists are out there that never see the light of day of success just because they do not have the capital, connections, or luck to break through? I don’t think most people are saying she doesn’t have any talent at all. What people are saying is she owes her initial success to the money and connections her dad has. And it’s not even the common stroke of luck that other successful artists get. She was even way ahead. And having that initial success can make or break an artist’s career. Talent can then carry you moving forward.
Nobody is saying she’s a hack who was only successful because of daddy’s money. They’re saying she got a very good headstart and hit the ground running. It’s primarily directed at people who claim she got there on talent alone. It’s like saying Bezos or Musk built their empire from scratch, while forgetting they had the benefit of having huge initial capital from their parents.
Btw, getting to #19 on mainstream charts is not trivial.
I do 16:8 IF. It’s the best and easiest way I’ve lost weight AND maintained it. I can’t imagine how eating less (and not starving yourself) and carrying less weight around can be worse for your health than eating throughout the course of the day.
The study’s limitations included its reliance on self-reported dietary information, which may be affected by participant’s memory or recall and may not accurately assess typical eating patterns. Factors that may also play a role in health, outside of daily duration of eating and cause of death, were not included in the analysis.
This definitely needs better methods of study, and peer reviews of course. Not sure if the study covered what participants were actually eating, because I would guess that would be the main factor.
The article itself quotes another doctor saying:
“However, the long-term health effects of time-restricted eating, including risk of death from any cause or cardiovascular disease, are unknown.”
I hope this study is proven wrong as IF has been the one “diet” plan I was actually able to do and keep doing.
Same as Austin, but housing is not really affordable right now, unless you’re willing to live out in the burbs.
I do. It’s worth it because there are some sites that are so outdated that their version of security is to not allow pasting (or filling in via pw manager) on password fields, so I have to manually type them in. Typing in a passphrase is easier and faster than a random string.
Lmao. OP, maybe you can ask a more specialized community like !malefashionadvice@lemmy.world for all your leggings questions.
You must have some shitty ones. Proper fitting boxerbriefs prevent chafing and your balls sticking to your thighs because they won’t get in direct contact.
This exactly. Unless you’re willing to drink from a communal jug that you can’t guarantee no one has opened or spiked it with anything. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t buy Liquid Death either. I just drink water before entering the venue. Also, this applies to smaller venues that only have a bar, not arenas that sell bottled water.
And coin controlled grocery carts!
Live shows, physical album sales, and merch. And even then, a lot or smaller artists barely break even with live performances, so they rely on merch sales. That’s why I make it a point to attend shows and buy merch when my favorite bands are in town.
