    China bans those apps because they’re objectively tools of the US spy programs. Two off them were part of NSAs PRISM. The US paid teenagers to try and establish a social media platform in Cuba for the purpose of destabilizing their government. The rest of the world would do well to ban any US social media to be honest.

      No way, only China and Russia (THE BAD GUYS) spy while the US is innocent and unaware of even how to spy because it’s the GOOD GUY.

        I’m not even doing a whataboutism here. The amount of data TikTok collects is ridiculous, but so is the amount of data collected by the US companies. And in the latter case, they have far more power to do damage to foreign nations and their own citizens with that data. They’ve done it already. Congress doesn’t care about that though.
