That’s just paid advertising.
In the civilized world we’re not doing this.
So, you found out how propaganda works.
Basically this.
Just add soy sauce. BAM!
MSG is the king of flavor!
A peaceful childhood.
Imagine accidentally running it on / instead …
But wasn’t NixOS not specifically design to be protected against such issues?
Wood is actually quite strong. I would’t call this a temporary fix but an upgrade.
Some time ago I wanted to clean up home directory files permissions to be not readable by group or others. Instead of just removing group/other permissions I hard-set all directories to 700 and all files to 600.

Honestly: I usually plan and create my web applications with SaaS in mind. It’s Docker-first, it has some type of API, and there are is a concept of different users (where applicable). I run them as if I was a customer, with a limited user account.

… this is unrealistic, I know.
Ah yes. Video game crash 2024! This would clean up so much bullshit in the industry.
I was a long-time Reddit user but over time it felt more and more not right. June last year I decided to register here and remove my Reddit account. I do not miss anything and I actually started participating more instead of just silently reading comments and posts.
It just feels right using Lemmy instead of Reddit. Not only there’s no corporate bullshit and dumb algorithms I can’t avoid, it’s also a much nicer community overall.
