It took me about 40 hours to go from Openskill 1 to os 2. I’m now os 5. I mainly play core front and just ball up tanks with a repairing station behind or I use my com to repair. Works great when it works but sometimes I get pushed before I have enough of a mass and then I’m useless and get crushed. It’s definitely a chaotic game

Someone on lemmy a few months ago mentioned this rts beyond all reason. Since then I’ve easily put 100 hours in. The game is so dam fun.

I do think that it will be good eventually if they can fix the simulation and simulation speed. But I’m disappointed with the price of the game compared to the lack of in-game content. The assets look so bad and most of the game simulation is smoke and mirrors which killed the game enjoyment for me.

I get good fps but sim speed falls off a cliff over 150k pop. But even if it didn’t the assets are ugly and boring to use

I played city skylines 2 at launch and I thought it was good. After 100 hours though I realized it was complete trash and was a scam.

I think Mike Boyd did a video where he learnt how to create a deep fake and it took him 100 hours. He used deepfakelab and 3 rendering PCs just to make some short clips. It would take a lot of rendering to do an entire show.

Its easy to point at exploding heads and hexbear because they hold controversial opinions but the real bad instances are the instances you’ve hopefully never heard of. I remember someone here posted a list of 100 fucked up mastodon instances and there was so much cp and unimaginably horrific stuff. I’m guessing that there are lemmy instances that don’t federate but host that kind of content for people in those internet circles.

Outside of extremely lefty places like lemmy jokes like that are acceptable and if you called that joke out as bigoted then people would consider you odd. It’s not even an edgy joke it just has a racial punchline.

There are plenty of jokes that look bad if you strip away the intention and context. They aren’t bad or offensive jokes they just seem offensive if you take them out of context and present them in a different way.

For example this shane gills joke looks bad “That’s the thing about these countries, England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia. No Black people.” but when you add the next part it makes it funny.
