I’m an old ass, so be warned, this is gonna be some old ass recommendations on anime:
If you haven’t seen it already, Cowboy Bebop is a classic for a reason. It’s a 10/10 the whole way through. If you can, slip the movie(Knockin’ On Heavens Door in English) in somewhere in the last 5ish episodes. It’s really just an extended episode, and is meant to take place before the finale.
Wolfs Rain is a work of art and theming. Has a bit of love from the LGBTQ+ community for said theming, especially the “finding a place to belong in a world standing against us” angle the show heavily rides on.
Samurai Champloo is an absolute blast to go through. Hits some of the beats Bebop does, has the same mind behind it, but it’s still a solid story and a fun time.
Most people I know, myself included, who have done recording work hate their voice. It doesn’t sound right to our ears. You just eventually get used to hearing it.
Also, just as a fair warning: If you notice you lean on a word or phrase, or that you have a certain speech pattern you want to change, completely work on it, but don’t let it consume you. When you get to that point that you’re constantly looking for it, it’s time to walk away, even just for a short time. I can promise you, it’s nowhere near as bad as you might think. It’s just easy to be overly critical of yourself, and that includes your projects.
My company was discovered using monkeys for emissions tests. They were gassing monkeys, and legitimately used “everyone in the industry does it” as an internal defense to quell upset staff.
Fuck Volkswagen. Straight up. No fucks given, worst job I ever worked.
It was one of the perks of owning one.
The others were the fact it was a '69, so that was fun to say, and it had a semi-rare style of shift assembly known as an Electromagnetic shift. No clutch pedal, just press down on the stick and shift.
Great little car, miss having her. Reliable as could be, easy to maintain, got great mileage. She wasn’t the fastest or prettiest on the road, but she got you where you needed to go, and didn’t care what you put her through.
