Accompanying their loved ones to the departure gate at the airport.
Black coffee.
Actually, that’s breakfast. I just drink water at work and eat when I get home. After the first few days, my body adjusted. I don’t get hungry at work anymore.
“just one country”
Over and over again. That scope is really opening things up.
I appreciate the idea. I just really like the photons to hit my eyes directly. Putting electronics in between makes it feel more like looking at photos than real stars.
That’s all?
Man, I’m really sorry you’re stuck in a sand pit.
We have so much fun with our TBM’s in my area. My neighbor, Ralf, built a 3M BEAST! You wouldn’t believe the daily progress he makes. It’s got integrated support walls and everything. Our club is in a bit of a feud with the hacks 3 subdivisions over. They keep boring too close to our tunnels. Not. Cool. Man.
Anyway, at least you can cut and cover with sand, a perfectly viable tunnelling strategy with lower startup costs.
It would be hilarious if you learned D&D vocabulary first.
At this point in my life, other than opportunity costs, there’s nothing stopping me from doing anything reasonable. The issue is time and will.
I’d love to be able to see the stars better. I live in a very bright, and often overcast area. I have a nice little telescope, but I’ve only taken it out a couple of times. I’ve been meaning to catch up with the local astro club, but, you know, time and will.
It’s an accreditation and award from Dark Sky International , an Arizona nonprofit organization. So, yeah, they probably aren’t running around Siberia with light meters.
Still, I appreciate their efforts. Apparently OR had to make some changes to get the title. Effective, too. I hadn’t really thought about the area much. Now, I’d like to go spend some time in the high desert, looking at stars.
Coffee and cigarettes, indoors, at a cafe, on lunch break in highschool.
I find I miss a lot of current events, only browsing Lemmy. It seems Lazer-focused on whatever it’s currently worrying about, ignoring more timely news.
I’ve looked. I find it hard to believe that there’s no California or SF Bay instances, but I haven’t found anything.
I’d like to see more instances with 100-500 users.
I know that’s a community thing, more than a Lemmy thing. I just don’t feel like I have a wealth of choices. I’m still on lemmy.world and when I look around, I don’t see a lot of medium-sized instances to migrate to.
50% of th…ah, fuck it.
I’ll buy a hundred shares when in hits $4.20 and immediately put a limit order in for $69. Because that’s exactly how it’ll go.
