Unstable wannabe tyrant/dictator from a party of evangelical theocrats, criminal, fraudster, blatant liar, thief, rapist, sycophant of dictators, insurrectionist, wife beater…and we haven’t even dug in to the party that supports this behavior along with their LGBTQ hate, restricting womens’ rights, voter fraud, election fraud, gun rights > your life, handing everything to the billionaires, environmental destruction of most every kind, and of course their NAZI underpinnings.

Joe is a career politician with all the baggage that goes with that, but he’s not actively and willfully sabotaging the country.

Maybe he needs a gofundme, just like regular Americans who can’t afford stuff like health care or unexpected funeral costs. See? He’s just like us.

The real issue IMO is that there’s a subset of the population that seems to think America is The Greatest Country On Earth™️, bar none, and gesture randomly in every direction but end up trying to shove the flag up your ass and equating the ability to bomb impoverished foreign countries to a marker of that greatness.

Meanwhile, disparity is wildly increasing, evangelical, right wing theofascists are trying to turn it into a dictatorship/wannabe Russia, Americans are being eaten alive by educational, housing, and medical costs, overrun by functional monopolies, and objectively fare worse in many, many social, health, and economic markers when compared to the rest of the civilized world including upward mobility. Upward mobility being huge as its part of the American Dream™️ in which you allegedly can be anyone you want to be, but in fact countries outside the US offer better chances of changing your station than the US does. Depending on where you live in the US (particularly the south) there is better than a 95% chance your life will never get better. Butwhatabout-ing and saying look how much better off we are than, say, Venezuela isn’t a marker of success, measuring how far you are from the bottom isn’t the same as trying to climb to the top.

So no, the US isn’t a shithole, but if someone is gonna start waving a flag and saying without qualification how great it is here the speaker shouldn’t be surprised when people cover their asses and say hell no it isn’t.

I’m curious about tests like this. I took a couple when I was younger and it pointed me a lot of places that had nothing to do with my current job. So I’m not sure how much value I place on them, but if it helps people point themselves in the general direction they want to go I guess that’s good.

If you ever see a lot of them you’ve got another problem, that means they have a lot to eat. Could be an infestation of other bugs like roaches or a dead animal in the walls.

Why would they revolt? I’d assume most of the people that cared enough to take the revolt over killing third party apps and all that have left or at least minimized their Reddit use. So that leaves bots, the apathetic, and niche community users who might complain but aren’t going anywhere.

We built a system based on continuous growth and consumption. People freeze like deer in the headlights when it gets brought up that it isn’t sustainable and get offended that maybe we should try to make some changes to it.
