  • The article is about them cutting ties with the company after finding out the CEO of the partner company was doing something bad for privacy. Mozilla, as far as we know at this point, isn’t guilty of anything bad except maybe not thoroughly digging into the CEO of this other company’s past thoroughly enough. Mozilla was not profiting off of selling your data. They’re not even sure if the other company was directly using their “privacy” service to benefit the CEO’s data harvesting company, just that he had been doing data harvesting, and then started a “privacy” company to remove data from the data aggregating sites, like the exact ones he funded.

So, are you sure you’re clear on what happened? Because Mozilla rectified an oversight on their part after they discovered a partner company’s executive had ties to the exact industry they were supposed to be fighting.

  • I’d disagree. It takes, now, zero know-how to convincingly create a false image. And it takes zero work. So where one photo would take one person a decent amount of time to convincingly pull off, now one person can create 100 images or more in that time, each one a potential time bomb that will go off when it starts getting passed around as evidence of something. And there are uncountable numbers of bad actors on the internet trying to cause a ruckus. This just increased their chances of succeeding at least 100-fold, and opened the access to many, many others who might just do it accidentally, for a joke, or who always wanted to create waves but didn’t have the photoshop skills necessary.

  • Not an answer to your question, but for a long time I couldn’t enjoy smoking weed anymore due to the anxiety. After my state legalized recreational weed, I could talk to pros about it. Find either a strain that has equal or maybe even higher amounts of CBD to THC, or have a cbd tincture in your system before you smoke.

I missed smoking weed. It had been years. But I’m very glad to report that I fully enjoy it again, no anxiety. No shitty feeling associated with it. It’s all nice.

I also got my feet wet on this journey by just smoking hemp, which has a really, really nice effect all on its own. Just something to consider if smoking weed was something that used to help you.

  • I mean, in all fairness, the Biden admin is actively aiding in this genocide. It doesn’t mean we can let trump be president. But we also can’t deny that Biden is very much pro Israel—but so is all of the establishment US. It’s the country that’s in bed with Israel.

Vote for Biden, vote for democrats. Because republicans are an active and vicious threat to far more than just Palestinians. They can’t be allowed to get their grubby fingers back on the levers of power. We can’t take more of their judges. They are one of the most dangerous groups for the future of the world. We cannot survive Republican climate policy.

This does not mean democrats are good on every single thing the republicans are terrible for. It’s shitty to have to vote for them because they are complicit in a lot of the major issues we face. But it’s necessary.

Nuance matters. Things aren’t as simple or black and white as people who love shouting their politics from behind a screen make them out to be. But republicans, especially with trump at the front of the party, cannot be allowed back in. Under any circumstances. But that doesn’t mean we can’t acknowledge that Joe Biden is complicit in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Because it’d be dishonest to ignore it. It sucks, but we still need to vote for that asshole.
