  • I’ve taught myself CAD and am getting pretty competent at it. I’ve been 3d printing since 2014 so I’m proficient there too. I’ve designed lots of functional parts to solve problems for myself, and I’m getting more into doing pieces for costume design.

What type of 3d printed stuff is actually profitable to sell? Every time I consider trying to monetize it a bit I go shopping around and think that there is no way I can design something that is a better quality or at a lower price than what is already available. Then I think about the hassle of having to manage printing and shipping and dealing with customers on top of my normal job and I think that it isn’t worth it.

  • Monarch Money

Mint is going away and I need a polished mostly automatic way of tracking my income, spending and investments. Sure there are cheaper or subscription free ways of doing it but I really need something that just connects to all my accounts and helps me visualize things. I’m willing to pay for the service and I get to leave Intuit behind.

    Midjourney

I use it to make concept art for characters, places and things in my tabletop game. I’m looking to drop midjourney and do this all locally though but haven’t gotten around to setting that up yet. In the meantime it’s still pretty cheap and easy to use.

  • I’m not a dev but if I remember right 1.3 or 1.4 came with some improvements intended to help mods ‘soft fail’ instead of hard failing if they hadn’t yet been updated for a new release.

That being said mod devs are great and have basically a month before 1.5 is promoted to stable. Not that it will stop people from whining in the workshop threads.
