No, it is $60, I just feel like other studios don’t work half as hard as Larian does per title and still charge more money.

The sheer amount of script and voice acting in the game is insane. All the balanced fights, scripted scenes, level designs, characters, mo-cap, and rigging…I don’t even want to think how many hours that all mist have taken. Not to mention developing and writing a script, each with multiple choices and logic branches.

…meanwhile COD and 2K Sport game are reskinning their games every year and charging $70 and putting Nicki Minaj as an operator, haha. More power to them. It just feels like one studio is putting in the effort to justify a higher price and still charging the normal price.

FO4 was…okay imo. It pales in comparison to NV and 3 imo though.

It’s honestly the only modern game worth $70 imo. One campaign run is like 126+ hours. Additional playthroughs are possible from other characters, which tells the story from different perspectives. Can go to areas you missed in the first playthrough, too :)

At least Seattle has a decent rail and bus system. In some smaller cities and rural areas, you are fucked AND Uber/Lyft is expensive af (if available)

I liked the idea of two people ending up in the same AirBnB in a bad neighborhood (and even the tunnels parts), but the actual execution and horror elements weren’t really great. When the fake boobs got whipped out, I actually giggled. Spoiler It boils down to a special needs person with a kink

I want a marvel movie where the entire movie is just an insurance adjuster’s life in superhero NYC where the entire city gets destroyed every 1.5 years due to alien sea turtles and two men punching each other through buildings and such.

The insurance premiums would be insane. The insurance agencies would have to be massive and get constantly bailed out. People would deliberately try and live in the ugliest places they could to avoid the carnage (and later lawsuits).

It had some good parts, but the ending kinda felt like everyone just boxing up their genders again as the status quo instead of being a society that valued people for more than just their genitals. I kept waiting for the part where they realized equality was what they should strive for to help lead the human world in the best direction.

The queer-coded Allen felt a bit on the nose for 2023, too. I liked parts of it, but it felt very…20th-century feminist and straight to appeal to larger audiences.

I think the part with Margot and the grandmotherly lady at the bus stop was my favorite part. Peaceful, sweet, and exactly where the movie felt like it was heading in a good direction (in addition to the heaven and tearoom scenes). The musical parts were a great reminder of the movies from long ago, and also a great step in the right direction.

I only buy it from Costco now. And egen the healthier-looking cereals are loaded with sugar. I’ve started swapping cereal to oats with some fresh berries, a dash of milk, and cinnamon. You can add a pinch of brown sugar if you need a bit more sweetness. Or (sugary) dried cranberries.

Lethal company, Pacific Drive, Helldivers 2, balatro… so many good indie* games for $10 to $40 while these $70 games are burning in. All of them overwhelmingly positive too. Really makes you think about the games market and the ones who are actually taking risks and innovating.

*Helldivers isn’t indie, but I also wouldn’t describe them as AAA either.
