Given that he was nearing the end of his testimony and people who knew him said he was not depressed, there’s still a good chance it was a hit.

Garmin is quite a lot more expensive, but Fitbit is just bad.
They’re either trying hard to sabotage the Fitbit brand, and bought it to destroy it, or they’re just doing usual Google makes-no-sense random product killing. Does anyone understand why Fitbit Sense supported Google Assistant but Sense 2, released after Google bought Fitbit, only supports Amazon Alexa? For whatever reason, they’re intent on making the Fitbit experience worse.
That said, they also significantly reduced the functionality of Google Assistant on all devices recently. I have no idea what they’re up to.
The Fitbit app store was very bad. I wouldn’t buy another Fitbit device, which is perhaps what Google wants.
Could be either one thinking that, but they both look pretty tough.
who’s banging Pailin
I think it was “nailin’”, for the rhyme. Sad that I know this.
Unfortunately the private gun owners mostly seem to want to use them in support of a fascist dictatorship, not against.
In any case, the best time to stop a fascist dictatorship is before it takes hold.
They all know the fascist leopards would never eat their face.
Decades of relentless propaganda about how capitalism is freedom, individualism is to nobly stand out from the herd, selfishness and greed are unchangeable human nature, owning and consuming material goods makes the best life, and any deviation from this plan is evil communism that would put us all in gulags.
Yeah, while we can criticize Biden for going along with Israel’s attacks on Palestinians, it’s pure fantasy to imagine Trump and his associates would be any less enthusiastic. All the signs are that they’d be even more enthusiastic, plus they have the support of the crazy evangelicals who want to bring about the Rapture.
He doesn’t have principles, just as Trump doesn’t. With them it’s just whatever’s the most self-serving move in the moment, every moment.
The ARM architecture does apparently (I’m no expert) have some inherent power-efficiency advantages over x86, and it sounds like the Snapdragon X Elite will be specifically designed for high-performance mobile computing with low power consumption like the Apple M-series chips. So, all else being equal, you’d expect Qualcomm to have an advantage in laptops with this chip, but all else isn’t equal because the software isn’t there yet, and no one in the PC market is quite in a position to kickstart the software development like Apple is with Macs.

Is this the third report of Israel massacring civilians seeking food (the civilians Israel is starving)?
This isn’t the first time a passenger has thrown coins into a plane’s engine.
CNN reported that it happened on another Chinese Southern Airlines flight in 2017, when an elderly passenger said it was “a prayer for a safe flight.”
Every time you think you know how dumb people can be, they find a new way to surprise you.
I wouldn’t be so confident about intelligent and informed people. They too get duped by propaganda. When we are dealing with entirely realistic-looking videos and photos, and we have spent our whole lives being trained to trust photo and video evidence, it’s going to be hard not to fall for some of this disinformation.
Some recent examples of AI deepfakes include:
— A video of Moldova’s pro-Western president throwing her support behind a political party friendly to Russia.
— Audio clips of Slovakia’s liberal party leader discussing vote rigging and raising the price of beer.
— A video of an opposition lawmaker in Bangladesh — a conservative Muslim majority nation — wearing a bikini.
I wouldn’t trust myself never to fall for any of that just on the basis of “intelligence”, and I’m only partly dumb. It requires us to retrain a lifetime of habitual trust in recorded evidence.
These big corporations always censor themselves so they can do business in countries with oppressive regimes. I don’t know how much difference it makes whether “we” tolerate censorship or not. They’ll do it anyway until there’s some disincentive for them to do it.
“Fascist” is a more apt term for Modi than “successful conservative”.
Regret after Gender-affirmation Surgery: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of Prevalence
Results: A total of 27 studies, pooling 7928 transgender patients who underwent any type of GAS, were included. The pooled prevalence of regret after GAS was 1% (95% CI <1%–2%). Overall, 33% underwent transmasculine procedures and 67% transfemenine procedures. The prevalence of regret among patients undergoing transmasculine and transfemenine surgeries was <1% (IC <1%–<1%) and 1% (CI <1%–2%), respectively. A total of 77 patients regretted having had GAS. Twenty-eight had minor and 34 had major regret based on Pfäfflin’s regret classification. The majority had clear regret based on Kuiper and Cohen-Kettenis classification.
Conclusions: Based on this review, there is an extremely low prevalence of regret in transgender patients after GAS.
One big appeal of Fitbit has always been the battery life of several days. If you want to track your health through the day and night, a Pixel watch that won’t even get through a single day on a charge is pretty useless. Same with all the other Android Wear watches.
