I tend to shop at grocery stores where the cashiers are paid relatively decently and have their shit together (Aldi, Lidl, Costco), so I often don’t have time to do more than shovel everything out of the cart top-down as quickly as possible before they’re already scanning it.
Exactly my point: society is wrong. Thinking that this person is somehow more deserving of attention – let alone sympathy – just because she’s “royal” is fucking perverse!
If anything, single-family has worse externalities than high density does. Single-family homes have to be subsidized because they don’t generate enough tax revenue per acre to pay for the amount of infrastructure they require. (Concrete example: if you have a single-family lot with 100’ of street frontage, that one family basically needs to pay enough taxes to maintain 100’ of road. But if you have a 10-plex on the same lot, each household only has to pay enough taxes to maintain 10’ of road.) Single-family is also inherently the least sustainable in terms of both HVAC costs (because every side of the habitable unit is exposed to the environment) and transportation costs (because low density minimizes walkability).

And badgered the Fed to cut interest rates in 2019 because the previous two things mentioned were about to start a recession all on their own, which meant there wasn’t as much room for lowering them when we really needed it due to the pandemic (which he also made worse by firing the pandemic response team).
Really, the more you think of it the more you realize Trump did lots of stuff – it’s just that all of it ranged from self-serving to incompetent to malicious.
