I work in IT as a self-taught developer. I tried so hard to prove myself that I ended up stepping on the toes of my team-mates, who had to basically tell me, “You’re doing a great job, fucking relax.”

Meanwhile we hire 3rd party contractors and new developers who talk and talk about how great they are… and then everything they do is a mess that we have to clean up.

Many successful people are just putting on a show. They’re imposters without imposter syndrome. Confidence is half the battle. You can learn everything else.

Your 4-based rating system is almost as perverse as that “utensil.”

Or be pulled like toffee into another dimension, stretched infinitely.

It’s extremely easy to never eat hungry man dinners. I don’t need to exhaustively describe every possible meal lol

You can just eat cans of soup or stew. You are absolutely not forced to eat these disgusting plates of shit.

Yeah, I think this includes psychedelics. Magic mushrooms for sure.

Consumerism has replaced community. Instead of visiting a friend I go for a walk alone, but I live in a city so the only place to walk is among the stores. And the walk feels meaningless if I don’t buy something.

I have many sweaters. But maybe I could go buy another sweater.

5-HTP is a mood-regulating supplement, like a mild anti-depressant. I once took it for a year and it actually helped. But for the first week it made me more emotional. Read about it on webMD so you understand it and the risks.

But the real answer is exercise, healthy diet, and maybe vitamin D. Boring answer, I know, but the absolute best one too.

Found the employee

The solution is to eat real food.

Yeah, it helps keep me sharp and alert. Also, emotional regulation.

Diet is probably more important for me. But exercise is definitely beneficial to my mental and emotional health.

If this is your level of ad avoidance you need to completely cut yourself off from all society and humans. Full social death.

1. Avoid the internet.
2. Pay for services so you’re the customer instead of the product.
3. Pirate TV shows and movies if you can’t afford them.
