That was just bizarre. 2 neg quarters = recession. 4 = depression. Pretty clear what they mean. Then just tack on adjectives. A small recession. A deep recession. Changing the definition was just weird.
Sabol was convicted in a stipulated trial in August of obstruction of an official proceeding, robbery and assaulting a police officer with a dangerous weapon – all felonies. In exchange, prosecutors agreed to drop more than a dozen other counts against him.
On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras sentenced Sabol to 63 months, or a little more than five years, in prison. He will receive credit for more than three years spent in pretrial detention following his arrest in early 2021 while attempting to flee the country.
These sentences seem, uh, strange. I’m not really very knowledgeable about sentencing in general, but I’m pretty sure I’ve read of a lot of people getting way harsher sentences for much lesser crimes.
His ex is buried in New Jersey, I think. Who is buried at Mar-a-lago?
I wish he’d focus a little more on the state. Seems like he keeps his eyes mostly on the horizon of his aspirations, only looking down at the state he’s working for now and then.
Whatever you want to say about reality, the poll from a couple of days ago pointing out how deeply unhappy young adults are makes this a pretty questionable way of trying to engage that demographic.
What? They have Superdelegates that nullify voters if it’s close at all, nothing wrong there. And Ranked-Choice or something better? No way, man! That would be absolute chaos. Chaos I tell you!!
Just being polite to you. I may not like Paltrow, but you’ve done nothing to make me not respond.
I don’t give a milky shit
Sean is always fine. The research level seems to have dropped the more popular it’s become. Which is weird. And no, I did not watch it. I don’t give a milky shit for Paltrow.
Hot Ones used to have interesting guests and interesting, deep dive, questions. This season really feels like it jumped the shark. Just PR for people who don’t need it or deserve it.
As other’s have said, hydration. But that’s only if you’re dehydrated. There is a pressure point near the base of your thumb, a bit towards your pointer finger. You can look it up for more specifics. I find that hitting that pressure point helps about 20% of my headaches.
It’s too expensive, but when prices come down even a little I would expect the savings in improved health to lead to an overall lowering of medical costs. As always, US system sucks balls.
Even for me that’s a bit. Let’s say the median household has two income earners, so base it on that. If you’re solo you can get yourself some sweet studio or whatever. So, basing the minimum income on two incomes and median rent would make minimum wage $25. That is right on the money! Nice. That’s what I’ve seen several reports say minimum wage should be if it kept up with inflation over the decades.
Median rent for my area just to the south is $3,586.

We are always told/taught not to spend over 30-40% of our income on housing. Hard to do if minimum doesn’t keep up.
The minimum wage, if it’s to be a liveable wage, should be set to some multiple of the median rent in an area. (Min Wage) x (0.30)=(Median Rent). Updated every year or two.
Living with a handgun owner particularly increased the risk of being shot to death in a domestic violence incident, and it did not provide any protection against being killed at home by a stranger, the researchers found. - Guardian Article April 7, '22
The relationship of Americans and our guns is such a weird, religious-level issue. Just bizarre people. And some of them are friends of mine. The people, not the guns.
Hamas fucking sucks. And they walked away from the latest cease fire talks. Hamas does not give a liquid shit about the Palestinians. Their lack of shits given has to be up there with Israel’s. The first time I was old enough to sort of understand what was happening in the news was in 1982 when Lebanon and Israel got into it. It’s just such a weird area of religiously-driven genocidal goals for, it seems, every group against each other, but all of them against the infidel Jews. It’s insane.
I wish I were smart enough and/or educated enough beyond my undergrad Physics classes from decades ago to actually understand this. I get the big picture stuff, then as it gets into the details there’s always a point where I realize I’m decoding words, but I have no idea what the hell they’re writing about.
I’ve seen enough of them justifying with some version of god using flawed vessels to send his message. Such anti-thinking bullshit.
