News@lemmy.world•Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene files motion to oust Mike Johnson as House speaker
61·2 years agoHe’s awful. Here’s the problem: they’re all awful. What’s the good choice? Challenge mode: has to also be viable for a vote from his party.

17·2 years agoOK? We’re still gonna take Mar-a-Lago bitch. We’re still gonna turn Trump Tower into a Spirit Halloween. Put the money up in the next 3 days or nobody gives a shit.

xantoxis@lemmy.worldtopolitics @lemmy.world•“I would be forced to mortgage”: Trump melts down on Truth Social as lawyers admit he can’t get bond
10·2 years agoI almost feel bad for the banks about to record a default on all his properties, since the courts get first dibs on them.
I don’t, though.

54·2 years agoLmao, as if there was ever a legitimate and legal way for him to get this money. “What if I sell secrets to somebody rich” was his default strategy before he even entered the white house. This doesn’t make him any more of a security risk because he’s already maxed out that metric many times over.

Technology@lemmy.world•This was the first result on GoogleEnglish
62·2 years agoFrom a technical stance, it’s right. This top comment does the math pretty well, and I’ve done it myself recently trying to decide if I should add a battery backup on my fridge. If you can overcome the startup surge (and a car battery definitely can), a modern fridge doesn’t draw very much power.
Of course, there’s a lot of details missing about how you do this without dying of electrocution. So I think it’s also a fair criticism of the LLM.
