For odd reasons I like a very specific shade of green (around 525nm, I’d call it “emerald”) - it shows a lot of promise in reducing migraine headaches. It’s an example of what’s called photobiomodulation, which is a technical term for using low-energy infrared/visible light to signal your body to do certain things (as opposed to harmful high-energy radiation like UV rays). Being in green spaces can also help people’s mental health and that’s still being investigated.
Another example is using red light therapy to help wounds heal faster and improve skin quality. Red or infrared light exposure for therapeutic reasons was investigated by NASA and adopted by the US Navy.
So it’s probably different reasons than you were expecting in a longer answer, but I love those colors because they heal people :)
Neeeeeerd
Thank you!
I asked for your favourite colour which you delivered and I learned something new, so I can’t complain.
Jeans
I would have been disappointed in this place if someone didn’t say jeans.
I aim to satisfy
Stroganoff, I like earth tones.
As long as it’s legume
arch linux
Ahh the colour of masochists.
Arch is too comfortable to be a masochism thing :P Get Gentoo at least, or why even bother :P
(I’ve used both muchly but currently use Arch (bytheway) because my poor CPU’s feeling really potatoey latelish 😾)
muchly
😆 I’m gonna use that word muchly from now on
I remember back in the day when people used Gentoo because it was more user friendly.

Tell me you love Discworld without saying you love Discworld.
Ook
All the people providing very specific and complex answers and meanwhile I’m over here like
Ultraviolet. It makes other colors look cool. And it kills stuff.
Your favorite color is one you can’t even see? That’s pretty badass, ngl.
Purple.
Well the thing about that is, well, what is color? Is it, as Sam Harris would say, the way light reflects off an object and reacts in the eye, or is it something more? Y’know Carl Jung put forth that color represent- ed more than a spectrum of light but a representation of one’s inner character, roughly speaking. So is it enough to have a favorite color, or should the right question be “what is the color that best represents your personality?” Your big five personality more specifically. When people ask me this question, as they inevitably do, I can’t help but think “you absolute son of a bitch”. To think that our desire for simple answers can lead us to be so arrogrant is absurd. Just look at the Bible for God’s sake. In the Bible, I can’t remember exactly where at the moment, it is said that the heavens are as a paved work of sapphire stone. So Heaven is seen as blue, as it’s often thought of to be in the sky as well. I mean obviously! So maybe the answer should be blue, not just for me but for all of us. Because Heaven is when the balance of chaos and order are set in perfect order. That’s the idea. But then why do we use blue as a metaphor for sadness? Well that brings up another interesting point that Foucault struggled with. He said that…
This feels like a typical Quora response
Orange. Pure orange, yellow orange, neon, burnt. Not so much red-orange, but I do love oranges that have a bit of a pink sheen, like padparadscha sapphires.
You’re like my mum, she absolutely loves orange!

Hot pink because it is girly, yet aggressive.

Cyan. Not just blue but cyan. Slightly neon, not sky blue pastel.
Especially if paired with black, it pops.
For me, it’s azure blue, the color between cyan and blue. It’'s just poppier than blue blue especially when combined with black and white.
I only see in the radio spectrum, but 1420 MHz is quite tranquil.
Deep royal purple
