I’m pretty hyped for this one. Even if it isn’t the greatest piece of Star Wars to be filmed, it draws the franchise in a new direction and gives us an entirely new world. 100 years before Phantom Menace means that there won’t be many cameos from known characters, though I’m sure we’ll get Yoda and probably Darth Plagueis. I have high hopes that this can breathe some fresh air into a stagnating and crowded universe.

One way or another, via combinations of projects that the fans will argue over endlessly, they have retreated into a creative shell that is just about used up, even at the Filoni-an fringe, all while having an expansive universe that will allow for fresh storytelling that still has the franchise brand recognition that is apparently the only way any audience will ever see anything, at least according to the suits.
