One of my favorites recently has been playing MineClone2 with some extra mods (can’t remember which) through Minetest.

I’ve been boycotting minecraft since the news of chat reporting potentially coming to Java and MineClone2 is such a good replacement. Biggest gripe I have is not being able to get any of the mods that add sprint to work. Pretty much the only feature not available in MineClone2 (as far as I’m aware) from minecraft that I actively miss.

That, or the tire arena mode thing. Both are pretty fun when you are bored of all the official tracks and your favorite add-on tracks.

Knowing advertisers, at least here in the US, they would bypass confirming you watched ads by just beaming them straight to your implant and making it impossible to get rid of the ads.

This sounds like it could turn into a “Democracy with Indian Characteristics” scenario. Or to put it another way: a slippery slope to becoming some form of dictatorship. First you start by denying indexes about freedom and democracy from other countries, then you eventually start claiming that your country is the most free country in the world and that everyone should look to you as a beacon of democracy and how things should be done while you turn into a hermit country (or at least attempt it).

All because I like seeing more than just what I subscribe to.

How else would I see a bunch of news article headlines that I’ll never read the actual article of but still make a comment on purely based on the article headline? /s

I don’t mind AI being used if it’s being used for things like placeholder assets being made or things like coming up with character names. Though, I’m not sure I’d want big triple AAA companies using it to boost efficiency since that’ll just mean more cash grabbery, loot boxery, and general enshittification being pushed out quicker.

AI can be a great tool when used less as a magical entity that will solve all of your problems. Though, for me, it actually does solve one problem I have a lot whenever I get an idea for a story I wanna write but never get past the first few paragraphs: character names. I can come up with a solid idea but struggle with coming up with character names and usually end up not being super creative on that front. AI providing a first name is always great so I’m not spending forever letting ideas go to waste because I have no main character name.

I was more of one of those kids who liked the rocks found by the playground at school more than the ones you had to purchase. Those purchasable rocks weren’t as cool to me or my friend in either 3rd or 4th grade.

I was young enough to miss out on that. I was old enough for the CD to DVD switch, though.

Computer and console games came exclusively on CD before the switch to DVD. When you bought a triple AAA title for console,you didn’t have to spend 3 days waiting for day 1 patches to install. You could probably fit the entire game library of your favorite console back in the day on a thumb drive nowadays.

Outside of dragon fruit flavored foods, I have no experience, but it is on my list of exotic* fruits to try one day.

If it’s a conspiracy, it’s one I can get down with. My college was celebrating today by having free mini one person pies available for students and staff. They were just cheap store ones, but that helped make my lunch easier to decide on.

How Dare They Block E621! Now I have to become an armchair warrior and get mad over something that doesn’t affect me in the slightest because I still have access! All while doing nothing about it!

In all honesty, fuck these types of people for blocking sites that try to a degree to try and stop illegal porn on their platforms.

Absolutely fucked up that games with legal gambling (loot boxes) can be rated E, but the second an indie dev makes a game that has cards in it and a poker scoring system, they suddenly act like rabid dogs.

Just give it some time and the next wave of cheats will have already bypassed that. Fighting cheaters is a losing battle, if you ask me.
