I hope the extensive list of articles, documentary links, and general feedback is enough to inspire a tasteful edit of something like “wow, I learned and that guy is great at making fun of the guy who shot MLK.”

The amount of [BRANDS] that get into politics in America and end up doing well is baffling to me. I know [BRAND] worship is insane everywhere, but in America it seems like it’s reached the a point of blind blithering idiocy.
Anything with a recognizable label that reduces the amount of thinking required is easily digestible and welcomed by Americans. Celebrities are name recognition and personable in a single package. It’s almost like being a celebrity is made for endorsing and no one cares what’s being endorsed, until it takes away their rights.
They don’t care. They don’t see the mothers who have to endure a life without the one they gave birth to. The people making the decisions don’t have to live with those decisions. They are the same type of people who are mad at decisions made without their input - yet they disregard the input of others. The people behind this law better hope Hell doesn’t exist because otherwise they would be bathing in fire.
Just say you think the migrant did it. You are almost there.
No country in the world produces as much oil as the US. Stopping a competitor from producing would cause the prices to go up and result in more money for US oil companies. Not sure how that would cause gas prices to rise this year either, considering Russian oil has been officially sanctioned so any price changes for them wouldn’t affect the global pricing too much.
Ukraine should cut a deal: give aid to Ukraine and the attacks on Russian oil stops.
Is Stonetoss. You forgot the important connection.
Can’t wait to see what goes up in place of Trump Tower. It’s like the circle of life, Trump devours a New York landmark for his building and now the gawdy tower can be repurposed or rebuilt into something better for New York.
Amazing. Authoritarian idealists are so anxious to support their “imigrint flud” lie that they are rushing to where the land gets crazy, with jungles so dense that even today there is no ability to lay down a road. Imagine all the incredible places a road can be found but none in the Darian Gap. It’s too wild, triple canopy jungle, and the terrain sucks. Hopefully a few get stuck and learn to regret chasing their lies.
F in chat for the support team that has to deal with conservative outrage about not being heard.
The red hats make them easy to spot.
Demonstrating leadership and resourcefulness with limited resources and no budget. That’s some quality manager material.
Maybe he’s right. Ive never seen JJ Trek 3 but Sulu base jumps in the trailer so it seems fitting if Spock leans into his human half and gets spicy.
This is why it’s important to ask “Why do you love that?” Starship Troopers and Helldivers can be seen as fascist by those who don’t see deeper meaning in things. But both are satire, making fun of the thing by showing how it works and how ridiculous it looks. No one acts like a person, they talk like a movie trailer. Well adjusted folk will understand what they like and be able to elucidate it clearly. Idiots will parrot broad generalities and be unable to explore why they like that stuff (or they realize they are a monster and get defensive about it).
Once of the hallmarks of Xi’s China is the lack of political penetration into big business. They are still there but passive and removed from most of the business. This was a few executives with a massive ego for their ability to finance and build shit, except they didn’t know how to finance and build shit - so it was a bunch of new guys proud that they could do their job. When shit hit the fan, no one knew how to do basic business like pay back loans or not borrow more money. China really only participated by giving money to someone they thought knew what they were doing.
Evergrande was a legit company that built things but used those buildings to raise loans AND presell, so they were double dipping and still behind on builds. Because of the way Chinese real estate is pre-sold before the build, it’s very hard to know who is a legit real estate developer and who is running a ponzi scheme.
Conservative voters clearly want some sort of change but aren’t articulate enough to know what it is or eloquent enough to ask. They want someone to get into the government and fuck up the process as an act of protest. But they don’t know how to ask for that. Instead they vote in the loud, viscous remains of a person with a fragile ego to be the damage they want done to those who they think wronged them.
Cruelty is the point.
Just like the FBI was almost going to be the Federal Investigation Bureau before someone caught on to the acronym for an investigative branch of law enforcement, the conservatives who are actually smart think a lot of stuff through and the name was most likely changed to avoid that embarrassment.
Or at the very least hurt until they can’t bully any more.
The best way to remember an assassin is to make fun of how actually inept they are.
