Makes sense. ISIS, who claimed responsibility for the attack, famously hates when Russia blocks a truce in Gaza.

Trump has brought a lot of terrible things to the forefront of American politics but the name calling is probably the most annoying, even if it’s not the most damaging.
I really hate the title template of “[click-driving quote], explanation” but if you’re going to do it, shouldn’t the two parts of the headline be related? The quote is him talking to James, the explanation is him talking to voters. Weird.
A lot of insurances wait until Medicare decides and follow suit so it may be coming.
Went to my glass door app to check and the first question was “what is your name? First last?”
That values Truth Social at $6 billion. Reddit’s IPO valued it at $6.4 billion.
Even if $6B is what is implied by whatever is happening, you need a buyer who is willing to pay Trump that valuation 6 months after the acquisition. Just no way it can stand up to that valuation, it does not have the users for it. 2 million active users to Reddits 500 million.
Ok but it makes it so that if the election is 270 to 269 electoral votes with the Republicans winning, the VP will be Democratic VP Harris because all 30 Florida electors have to vote for Trump for president so none of them could vote for Rubio, he would get 240 electoral votes and lose to Harris who would get 269.
It’s a noteworthy disadvantage even if it’s not as bad as I thought originally.
The president and vice president can not constitutionally come from the same state. Trump would have to move to pick Rubio.
He’ll go for a man because he wants people to look “straight out of Central casting.” Pretty sure he was told Kristi Noem would be the best choice but he can’t abide by a woman in power so he’s throwing out ideas where he can still have a not-white-man while still definitely being a man.
Dunkin Donuts movie tie-in drink from Men in Black 3. I think I got one every day for the 3 months it existed.
I’m not sure I understand how this happens. He has to post the value in order to appeal, right?
I would have thought the situation was either Trump mortgages a property or gets a bond…or he doesn’t get to appeal. I could see the properties getting seized if he doesn’t have the funds and the appeal is thus forfeit so the money has to go to the state against his will, I’m not following how the properties get seized and also he still gets to appeal.
If they can take away drudge work that hospitals force nurses to do and let human nurses do more in-person work (AI can not deliver a baby, for example), good, right?
Assuming they only put the AI on tasks where the AI is as good as a human or better because they will get sued if it makes a mistake, then this is just the same health care for cheaper to me. That’s good. We need cheaper healthcare.
“Why are there no Republican multi-billionaires offering to lend President Trump the funds to file his appeal in the outrageous case in NY state?”
Donald Trump is a Republican multi-billionaire, maybe he should pitch in.
Hopefully they can appeal and just provide summaries or redacted documents. Or get security clearance for jurors, sure.
There has to be a way to convict someone for stealing state secrets without sharing those state secrets publicly.
If it’s illegal to share classified documents, including to jury members, and the jury can’t convict without seeing all the info on the classified documents, then it is just legal to share classified documents, you would be unable to prosecute. That would be crazy.
What an absolutely buck wild strategy. Dell official policy is no longer promoting the best person for the job.
Even if they wanted this to be the strategy, it works better not to announce it. Announcing it just means literally anyone worth promoting who is remote will go looking externally, maybe immediately.
This is either a sneak layoff or inexcusable management.
I listen to a podcast with Scott Galloway and Kara Swisher and Scott is a real window into the thought process of older pro-Israel people. He keeps repeating that China is making the younger generation more pro-Palestine because the pro-Palestine videos are shared way more on TikTok and never mentions the more likely alternative… people on TikTok engage more with pro-Palestine videos so the algorithm pushes them. It’s a younger, more pro-Palestine audience to begin with.
What’s concerning is figuring out the evolutionary advantage of being able to hide from predators who have eyes 1000x more sensitive to light than anything on Earth…
This “elite strategist” is welcome to short the S&P 500 if he’s so confident and not just trying to get attention. The net of all people with money in the stock market disagree with him so he could make some good money if he’s right.
But like, you and I didn’t buy those TVs. If people who needed TVs used the checks for that, great. Everyone else used it for car payments or food or whatever they needed.
For all you inflation heads out there…
US M0 money supply was $3.6T in January 2017 when Trump took office.
It was $5.25T in Jan 2021 when he left office, a 45% increase in the money supply.
As of December 2023 it was $5.83T, an 11% increase under Biden.
So if we’re saying increased money supply caused inflation, the Trump admin is about 4x more responsible for it than the Biden admin.
