  • I certainly don’t blame the president for inflation, because I can see how all the corporations just decided to raise their prices because everybody else was raising their prices. It kinda seems like a rush to take all the profits they can like it’s their last chance to make money, which is quite disturbing to reflect on.

Personally I’ve only become more prosperous throughout the terms of the last 3 presidents. Biden’s presidency has been mostly positive improvement over Trump’s time in office. I’d never vote for Trump, and have voted against him 3 times already. My main problem with Biden is his repeated calls to ban guns, because individual liberty is the most important issue of all and gun bans are authoritarian garbage.

This is the red herring that the CCP is throwing out all over social media for us. They want to conflate support for Palestine with TikTok use, and shift the narrative away from the problems with TikTok’s doomerism-inducing algorithms of intentionally addictive and divisive content.

  • This all sucks, but to be realistic it’s probably not going to change anything for anybody. Pornhub is not the only porn site, there are more options than any human being could ever make use of out there, and plenty of sites will not recognize the laws of TX.

What realistically will happen is the porn consumers will go “oh no Pornhub is down, I’ll have to go to another site” and within 5 minutes they’ll be masturbating with porn from an unblocked site. For all we know, they might even visit lemmynsfw communities, which all do not give a fuck about these laws.

  • It’s not actually a joke, it’s the reality of the current housing market. If you want to own a house now or soon, that is where they are affordable. The other part of that reality to face is that this situation is not going to be fixed anytime soon, so you will have to deal with it by renting a high-priced small place in a big city, or taking the option to own your home where you can afford to buy.

I’m on track to have my house paid off about 15 years early, out here in rural USA where houses can still be bought. I would never trade this life to live in a big city, unless it was free to do so. It’s 5 minutes away from 2 grocery stores, 30 minutes away from the largest city in this part of the state. Most people in my area commute about 20-30 minutes to work. All of my peers own their own houses here too.

So you can laugh all you want at that “joke” but those of us living it are laughing at you paying $2000 a month for rent.
