I don’t think that’s super unusual, at least not here in the states. My parents bought their house before it was built, for example.

That summary and game trailer is beautiful and hilarious lol. It totally brings me back to Starship Troopers. I want to play it even more now lol.
Omg this sounds amazing actually. I kind of want to play it now lol.
Just curious, as someone who hasn’t looked up much about it, does Helldivers 2 have the satirical themes as Starship Troopers, too? Or is it just about fighting bugs in space?
I wish that was true where I live, then I wouldn’t be the only one. That supposed to be the whole idea of it, too.
What did he do to embarrass himself in front of you?
Really good article. Thanks for posting that.
Same. I’m barely in my office anymore since I started even just a hybrid work from home schedule. It’s good to separate the work space from other spaces imo
I would argue that progress like this is only happening because of the pressure on Biden from people saying they won’t vote for him if he continues to support the genocide. The biggest change was after the uncommitted movement in some of the primaries That’s why I’m okay with people saying they won’t vote for him, as long as they agree to vote for him if he continues to improve.
It’s a lot of work to admin an instance, though. I can understand if random people don’t want to do it. I hope one day someone does, because a California or Socal instance was the first one I looked for, too.
Lots of good cocktails in here. Going to plug !cocktails@lemmy.world for everyone to check out and contribute these cocktails, too.
It was. But there were interesting effects from Reddit getting huge, like more niche subreddits and random encounters, like someone posting a proposal pictures and the targets of it being able to find it online. That probably wouldn’t happen on Lemmy.
Probably a worthy trade for better discussion and less bots, though.
Well, software devs haven’t exactly been known for being good at communications lol. Hence the need for the people guy in Office Space.
I’m not Bangladeshi but good job on saving the community!
True story. When the colonists showed up in the New World, you think the natives would’ve all banded together against the “alien” threat, but instead the invaders were often able to leverage historic fueds and tribal animosities to get the different groups to help fight each other. I at least know this happened in some instances in South America and Africa.
Is that a thing?
Darn. Oh well.
I think it also works with an @. Such as
@HarryPotter@literature.cafe
Someone let me know if that doesn’t work.
Doesn’t Kbin work with an @?
@HarryPotter@literature.cafe
Does that work?
The what? Lol
