Little Billy’s sleepover didn’t really go as planned.
1·1 year agoI will never get his weird speech patterns out of my head.
Been in this area for almost 35 years. Had to move further south (Johnston Co… like 30 min from downtown Raleigh) to find a house we could afford. Lived in Cary in a townhouse that more than doubled in rent in 10 years.
Can confirm there are quite a few IT jobs. Been in IT since mid 90s.
All in all would recommend this area.

6·1 year agoPoliticizing a fucking virus has definitely left us less ready for the next pandemic. I will never understand the reasoning for this.
My workloads are open to students doing things on an LMS. Chaotic doesn’t begin to describe it. 🙃
Yes commodity is a much better term here. It is a mature and fairly ubiquitous technology at this point.
Not sure why they’d think cloud will be cheaper. If anything, costs are way more unpredictable from the research I’ve done.

2·1 year agoAt some point I’d believe their head would explode. I mean they wouldn’t even understand electricity. That wasn’t until about 50 years later.
I can barely get my wife to understand virtualization/containerization and she’s very intelligent, let alone someone from the 18th century who couldn’t even comprehend what a computer was.
This likely has more to do with my shitty explaining ability than anything else. 😊
