The Justice Department is poised to sue Apple as soon as Thursday, accusing the world’s second most valuable tech company of violating antitrust laws by blocking rivals from accessing hardware and software features of its iPhone.

The suit, which is expected to be filed in federal court, according to people familiar with the matter, escalates the Biden administration’s antitrust fights against most of the biggest U.S. technology giants. The Justice Department is already suing Alphabet’s Google for monopolization, while the Federal Trade Commission is pursuing antitrust cases against Meta Platforms and Amazon.com.

Gotta love these American “capitalist” corporations… They can only compete if they have no competition

I hate the Orange Baboon as much as the next person, but from the article:

The Justice Department opened the latest case in 2019 under former President Donald Trump.

Unless Time Cook has a sudden change of heart and starts sucking up to Trump, I doubt that Apple is going to get a free pass.

That said, also from the article-

I don’t know that Trump would take it that far and I could definitely see him putting a stop to at least some of that.

Considering his current financial situation, I could see the dirtbag asking them for money to make those go away.

Funny thing about Trump is how easy he is to manipulate. Just smile and stroke his ego and he’ll do whatever you want.

Honestly, shut the fuck up. This article is 0% about Trump, but here you are making it about him too.

FUCK OFF. YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.

Apparently, you didn’t read the article either

E: To add, you should know that this unnecessary expression of extreme aggression is exactly why people are worried. Think of me what you want, I’m just the next idiot in a long line of them.

I’m not sure why you’d be concerned about it, the EU is managing this issue from their side (assuming you’re in an EU country).

(Not who you replied to) I think they might be more concerned about the possibility of Trump being in power than the litigation being shelved as a result.

Unlikely he ever takes office again. He already lost one election, and his public perception has certainly not improved since then.

But anyway, you can’t just not make progress because it “might” be wiped away in a few years, or we’d never make progress on anything.

Then you should be terrified that Hungary will take the EU presidency in July, without any vote at all, and immediately reverse all progress the EU has ever made on anything.
