- All, but I keep blocking communities I don’t have interest in. - Oh my god I wish I could just “block all Japanese cartoon communities” - Fucksake guys - For real. So much moe stuff posted that I actually learned what it means… Started posting this in every post before blocking the community.

- This is my preferred method as well. - It would be so much easier if instance blocking was working for me, I have had to block any lammynsfw community manually when they show up, despite having added lemmynsfw.com to the block list… - Connect can just blur or not show any NSFW post, if that helps - I am on Memmy and it does blur NSFW posts, but I don’t want to risk opening any NSFW post at work or with family so I just block any NSFW community that I see - That’s why you have 2 Lemmy apps and a username_NSFW alias. Work safe one for usual stuff. NSFW one for . . . NSFW things. - I already have a way to safely store NSFW material on my phone witht low risk. So K have never seen the need to get on that part of lemmy

- So the hiding function in Connect should work for you, without having to do all the blocking.

- Same, I used to also do this on reddit with boost but once third party apps were banned I quit reddit. I saw some really gruesome stuff in r/all though…

- Subscribed, and then All when I’ve seen all the Subscribed posts - This is the way. Also, sorted by new.

- Subs first, then All. The only reason I browse All is because I’m all caught up with my subs and there’s nothing else to consume but All.
- New or by 1 hour. - I dont sign up for communities. Just throw it all at me. I want an unfiltered and unadulterated view as to whatever the capitol C community is into. - You’re a psychopath!

- I do a subscribed run, then i go into all. Since i sort by “Top Twelve hours” i only have one or two pages of subscribed
- All because I like seeing more than just what I subscribe to. - How else would I see a bunch of news article headlines that I’ll never read the actual article of but still make a comment on purely based on the article headline? /s - Reading this is like looking in a mirror

- I usually start with subscribed, and when I run out of new content I switch to all and it reminds me why I prefer to stick with subscribed as a default. - Same. But I block communities on all regularly. - It’s better for discovery, just casually browse and just block the communities that you don’t like. Much better for discovery.

- All. When I don’t like a certain community I block them.
- Subscribed, because all is way too depressing. - Seriously, there’s way too many doomers on Lemmy that just want everyone to be miserable

- All. Throw it all at me. Gork needs content.
- I use subscribed first and then once I have looked at the new things under my subscribed feed I switch to all and top either today or top in past 12 hours - Edit: In fact, all top today is how I found this post to begin with. Otherwise, I would not have seen it.
- All 6h for the win - Same! Will do a single 12h view first thing in the morning, but other than that 6h hits the sweet spot

- Subscribed. - If I view all, all I get is a bunch of repetitive news posts and a whooole lotta pro russia stuff. Im just here for the memes and video games.
- Always subscribed, otherwise it’s just memes and political shit flooding my feed.
- I am still relatively new to Lemmy, so I view New All so I can catch any new communities that I want to subscribe to. Once my list get sufficiently diverse I will switch to New Subscribed.
