To me it always felt like he was trying to reclaim his childhood. His father was horrible to those kids and worked them to the bone. As a billionaire adult he was able to do ALL the things that every kid dreams of, like having an amusement park in your backyard, and a pet chimp. You were probably nervous. In high pressure situations, (I have to leave for work in ten minutes, let’s go!) I have a LOT of difficulty keeping it up.

There were plenty of Karens, but I only went the extra mile of setting things up for friendly people.

Just a heads up, if seemingly simple things can only be fixed by going away and calling someone else, there’s a good chance you could have been nicer.

Why not just stay where you are instead of infecting new places that don’t want it?

Ask yourself if this person WANTS to hear what they should have done.

Someone may be talking about how they were trying to do something for the first time and the challenges they faced, and when you butt in with “What you should have done is…” You think you’re being helpful since this information will save them a lot of frustration next time, but wait until they are done explaining the situation. They may have already figured out what you were going to say, and don’t need your info, or, maybe they are still stuck and could use that info, but wait for them to let you know if it’s wanted or not.

Can’t be any worse than most of the people who have lived in it their whole lives.

Or consider Rural PA, all the same problems, but with the climate of early 2000s Tennessee!

Working in customer service or retail helps, once you learn how to put on your happy work face, it’s easier to do in other occasions.

No. If there is any truth in your “a child with X ancestry raised in Y land, can learn X easily” it’s only because their parents probably still use their native language.
