The League of Conservation Voters, among the biggest spenders on progressive causes, said it would put $120 million behind President Biden and Democrats as his Republican rival faces cash woes.
No ones excited and we’re in an era where excitement wins elections.
And no shaming people for “not being excited” isn’t going to work either. Biden needs to give cause for people to show up to the election, and the fact that the vast majority of working class recognize that their needs are not being met by the current economy… welp. Biden’s got work to do.
I love how centrists scream that progressives don’t know how government works when we’re upset that centrists have once again blocked progressive legislation, then turn around and demonstrate that they don’t know how elections work.
I don’t know anyone who likes Biden. I know people who are pleasantly surprised. I know people who would prefer anyone but Biden’s predecessor (me included)
I don’t like Biden. That being said, he’s definitely exceeded my admittedly low expectations. The fact that he’s been able to get ANYTHING done with the GOP controlling the house and the barest majority possible in the Senate is impressive. I think he’s easier to push left than I expected and has generally surrounded himself with reasonable people. Having to compare Biden to Trump is absurd. There’s nothing that comes close to making Biden a worse choice.
But, the media sounds it’s like Joe Biden don’t have a friend in the world and Democrats are not engaged in the election.

I’m not excited by Biden, I’m excited by Trump. Anything to make sure Trump loses again in November.
There’s a billon dollars that says otherwise
thats not excitement. thats “my other choice is head in a gas stove”
I mean, I’d personally be pretty excited to not have to put my head in a gas stove when the odds are 50/50.
that’s…
…that’s actually fair.
If money bought elections Dems crushed 2016.
You do understand that Democrats got m9re votes, right?
They always get more votes. That doesn’t win elections though.
People were excited and voted. The math is not hard.
What does that even mean? Are you even talking about 2016?
Oh did they win the election? Shit I must have missed that part.
More people were excited enough to vote, weren’t they. Unless I m8ss my guess, I’d say more than one person didn’t read the full string.

You know if you can’t keep up with the subject, you shouldn’t respond. I won’t attempt to explain it to you. Do better.
Unearned condescension is the closest centrists ever come to admitting when they’re wrong. Concession accepted.
That’s funny.
Oh, he’s always been friends with donors.

Oh, 100%. I would rather be disappointed in Biden than horrified at Trump.
That being said, I’d prefer someone else.
